Armchair Travel: Around the World through Reading – New Zealand

As South Africa prepares to celebrate Women's Month, it reminded me a lot about the various movements that have fought for equal rights. One of these movements included the Suffragettes during the late 19th century and early 20th century. Thus we've moved on to the country who first gave women the right to vote in…

Armchair Travel – Around the World through Reading: How a symphony inspired a nation

4 Honeypots Although I'm a fan of classical music, I've hardly listened to Russian composers. That is why I was excited to read The Conductor by Sarah Quigley. Armchair Travel: Around the World through Reading

Trying something outside of your comfort zone is always a good idea. Whether it's travelling to someplace you've never been or a dish that sounds both weird and delicious at your favourite restaurant because you can't say whether you like something without trying it first. This is why I chose to read a book from each country in the world to expose me to new books and authors. You never know what you will find when you start to rummage inside your local library and bookstore.
